Scope

These terms govern the B2C distance sale concluded on cantinesciacca.it by consumers, with shipping currently limited to Italy. They are not an offer of sale to other countries.

Checkout, payment and the customer account are managed through the Shopify infrastructure. On completing the order, the customer enters the Shopify checkout environment.

Product information

The product information published on the wine sheets, in the shop window and at checkout describes the label offered. Prices, availability and commercial details visible in Shopify at the time of the order are the source of truth for the transaction.

Any mandatory food information not yet available on the digital sheet remains that shown on the product label and required by the applicable law. This page does not add product data that are not in the catalogue.

Prices and taxes

Prices are shown in euro (EUR). The applicable price is the one shown on the product sheet and confirmed at checkout at the time of the order.

Taxes and accessory charges visible at checkout when the order is confirmed form part of the amount due. No tax rules are stated here beyond what is shown at the time of purchase.

Wines on private quotation

Caucinum and Faustianum are offered as «Private quotation». They cannot be bought directly online: availability and terms are defined on request, through the contacts or the contact form.

The other products in the catalogue follow the online purchase flow through the cart and Shopify checkout, within the limits of availability.

Order procedure

An online purchase proceeds, in summary, as follows:

• selection of the product and addition to the cart;
• review of the summary and, where required, confirmation of adult age;
• entry into Shopify checkout for address, shipping and payment;
• confirmation of the order according to the indications shown before payment.

The contract is concluded when the order is accepted according to the checkout process. A confirmation is sent through the channels provided by Shopify.

Payment

Payment is made in Shopify checkout, with the methods available there at the time of the order. This site does not itself handle payment data.

Shipping

Shipping is currently available only in Italy, with the GLS Standard service. The rates in force and the delivery conditions are described on the Shipping page.

The exact rate applicable is shown at checkout before the order is confirmed. There is no free-shipping threshold.

Availability and inventory

The availability shown in the shop window and at checkout reflects the state of the Shopify inventory at the time of consultation. If, after the order, a product cannot be fulfilled, the seller informs the customer and proceeds according to the remedies provided by law, including any refund of sums already paid for goods that are not delivered.

Alcoholic drinks and adult age

The sale of alcoholic drinks is reserved for adults. Both the person placing the order and the recipient of the delivery must be 18 or over.

Before checkout, if the order includes alcoholic drinks, a confirmation in the cart is required. That confirmation remains mandatory for those products; it is not, by itself, a documentary check of age. An order made up only of non-alcoholic products does not require that confirmation.

The age-verification duties provided by law remain fully reserved. The seller may refuse or cancel the order or the delivery if the legal age requirements cannot be met.

Right of withdrawal

The consumer has the right to withdraw from a distance contract, without having to give reasons, in accordance with the Codice del Consumo. For the manner, the time limits and the exceptions, see the Returns page.

Damaged or non-conforming goods

If goods are damaged, missing or non-conforming, the customer may write to info@cantinesciacca.it describing the problem and, where useful, attaching photographs. These cases are distinct from legal withdrawal and from any discretionary return.

The protections provided by law for the conformity guarantee of consumer goods remain in place.

Applicable law and mandatory protections

The relationship is governed by Italian law. Mandatory rules protecting the consumer continue to apply, including those of the Codice del Consumo on distance contracts and the conformity guarantee.

For disputes arising from a consumer contract, the courts and remedies provided by law in favour of the consumer remain available.
